peace of mind

i promise it won't always be doom and gloom over here, but this blog is the best place for me to express

my truest feelings. its easier for me to write than to talk. thank you for reading, praying, and caring for our family. 

we decided in october that we'd love to have a simple holiday season. and we have had to say "no" (which is so hard, right?) to lots of fun parties, trips, and events that would take away from our simple.

we are staying home this christmas. it feels so good! there's something so relaxing about the twinkling of our christmas tree lights, warm socks, and a peaceful echo of christmas music throughout the house. (my blood pressure is dropping just typing about it.)
