Bastrop

Bastrop, Texas.
known as the "Most Historic Small Town In Texas"
home of Lost Pines Forest
131 Historical buildings in the National Register of Historical places

my mother's hometown.
her childhood & teenage memories
and all of her family members.

her grandfather built the cabins in the State Park
with only materials found in the forest.

over 1600 homes and 35,000 acres burned in the
largest, most destructive wild fire Texas has ever seen.

most are left with nothing.
no cattle, no house, no clothes, no jobs, no schools

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2

This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
John 15:12

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:14

they need our help.
they need our prayers.

the families that are affected have either lost everything,
or their houses are so smoked damaged,
almost nothing is salvageable.

the best donation (for now, because they have no where to store big items)
are gift cards.
gift cards to Wal-Mart, Target, restaurants, gas stations

If you have anything you would like to donate:
